This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Greek data protection law.
Who we are
Webtree is an independent digital studio based in Athens, Greece, and is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at info@webtree.gr.
Registered details: Panagiotis Grigoropoulos - WEBTREE, Makedonias 0, Koropi 19400, Greece. VAT (ΑΦΜ): 131803970.
What we collect
We only collect personal data that you deliberately send us.
Through the contact form. When you submit the form on our start page, we receive your name, email address, telephone number, and the project details you choose to provide: project name, description, primary goal and budget range. We also record which language version of the site you used, so we can reply in the right language.
By email. If you write to us directly, we hold whatever you include in your message.
Analytics. Our analytics are cookieless and aggregate, and do not identify you. See our cookie policy for the detail.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
We use the data you send to respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposal, and, if we go on to work together, to manage that engagement. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and, once an engagement begins, the performance of our contract with you.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, we do not send marketing emails to people who have not asked for them, and we never sell your data.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are delivered to our own mail infrastructure. We share personal data with third parties only where it is necessary to run the studio, specifically Hetzner Online GmbH, which hosts our website, mail and analytics infrastructure as a data processor under contract, or where we are legally required to disclose it. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Our servers are located in Hetzner's Frankfurt (Germany) data centre, so your data is stored inside the EU and is not routinely transferred outside the European Economic Area.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Where we go on to work together, we keep project correspondence for the duration of the engagement and for as long afterwards as Greek tax and commercial law requires us to retain business records.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. We keep access to enquiry data limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what you send us.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@webtree.gr. We will respond within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα), www.dpa.gr.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted here.
